TORONTO – Legendary Hong Kong singer-songwriter Yatfung announces the global premiere of Moving Still,
the artist’s 25th solo album and 3rd English album, with an intimate afternoon concert at the Rivoli Backroom,
on September 6th at 3:00pm – which will be broadcast worldwide via Toronto tech start-up Livil.

“Since moving to Toronto in 2025, the city’s diverse cultures, lively music and arts scene, and most incredible
people, gave me the comfort and clarity to arrive at the person I am today, and confidently launch a new English
artistic chapter, connecting songs, photographs and performances,” explains Yatfung (aka Chet Lam 林一峰).
“Inspired, written and developed in Toronto, Moving Still features new music, and songs reinvented from my
Cantonese and Mandarin catalogue which I’m thrilled to share with loving fans, while introducing myself to new
audiences across Canada and the world.”
Celebrated for a body of work spanning countries and cultures, Yatfung has released 25 albums in Cantonese,
Mandarin and English, blending his unique style of ‘city-folk’ storytelling and pop melodies, while writing hit
songs for prominent artists throughout Asia like Stefanie Sun, Sammi Cheng, Eason Chan and at17.
He has received numerous awards in Chinese music and film, equivalent to Grammy, Juno & Oscar Awards,
including: two Top Chinese Music Awards for Best Folk Singer (2016, 2012); five Chinese Music Media
Awards for Album of the Year Cantonese (2012), Best Folk Artist (2005, 2004) and Best New Artist and Top
Ten Album of the Year (2004); and a Golden Horse Award for Best Original Film Song (2003).
Yatfung has remained independent and largely self-funded throughout his career. Beyond his recordings, he
has consistently created infrastructure for other artists. Through Seeing Creative, he provided early
professional stages for emerging Hong Kong acts including My Little Airport, FAMA and Hanjin.
In 2015, he co-founded MusicBee.cc, a crowdfunding platform created to finance independent music projects
directly through their audiences. In one year, more than CAD $1 million was raised for thirty music projects,
directly funding musicians and their teams.
