Shawnee is an aboriginal with two spirits. If you want to learn more about this opening line, just visit this year’s Pride and find out. The band opened with a lengthy spiritual build up that grew into a full frontal rock jive. Shawnee presents herself with a restless energy that needs to be filled up at all times. If Melissa Etheridge would rock out a little harder, she would be Shawnee.

The set was near an all out rock assault, that kept the audience alive with delight. The interaction between the band members conveyed how much fun they are having when they play together.

Near the end of her set, Shawnee covered, 4 Non Blondes song What’s Up, with a confidence justice. A couple of her friends ran up to the stage to enjoy a rock and roll karaoke moment. That was fun. The night ended with the fiery rocker, Burn Baby Burn.
