May 15th—This past Thursday, I had the pleasure of going to the Hard Luck Bar for the first time to see four amazing bands.
Smoking in Bed
Smoking in Bed was the first band to grace the stage, and they started the night off with a bang. They played an awesome set mixing in some new and familiar songs and set the tone early.

Sixteen Scandals
Sixteen Scandals was the next band up, and they brought the heat. They played a tight and highly energetic set, getting the crowd jumping and singing along. They left it all on the stage, and the audience was extremely grateful for it.

Doghouse Rose
Doghouse Rose came on third and raised the bar even higher. They put on an awesome show with one banger after another and plenty of audience participation.

Raygun Cowboys
All three bands set the table for the highly anticipated headliner Raygun Cowboys, and they flipped it over in true punk form. From their horn section to their stand-up base, they had the crowd screaming, the floor shaking, and they gave it everything they had to try and blow the roof of the joint. An unbelievable performance for their 25th anniversary tour. They mentioned that they would be back to celebrate their 30th, so if you missed them this time, be sure to have your calendar cleared 5 years from now.

Final Thoughts
Hats off to Smoking in Bed, Sixteen Scandals, Doghouse Rose and Raygun Cowboys for an awesome show from beginning to end. Also, a big shout out to A Minor Productions for putting this show on and to Hard Luck Bar for their great staff, sound and lighting. It was my first time seeing a show there, and it won’t be my last.
